Fall Festival
Introducing the Second Annual Autumn Celebration, a wine tasting fundraising event to help raise awareness and generate support for the Nambale Magnet School in Western Kenya and will be hosted at the beautiful Hopkin’s Vineyard in Warren, CT. The event will feature wine tasting, live music by Devon Eddy, a silent auction, raffle giveaway and food provided by the finest vendors in Litchfield County.

One of CT's longest running brewfests returns on Saturday, Oct 5, 2019 with over 20 CT Craft Brewers, Wine, Live Bands, Food Trucks, Firepits and Lawn Games!

Cabot Open Farm Sunday
This fall, Cabot's farm family owners are opening their farms to thank you for your support. At Thorncrest Farm & Milk House Chocolates in Goshen, Farmer-chocolatier Kimberly Thorn crafts her chocolates by meticulously matching the milk of each cows with all-natural flavorings like farm-grown mint or raspberries. At Freund's Farm in Canaan, among their many earth-friendly efforts, the most high-profile is their invention of CowPots. These patented, biodegradable, seed-starting pots are crafted out of the composted, odorless solids left after manure is run through the methane digester that provides renewable power for the farm.

Woodbury Harvest Stroll
  You are invited to an afternoon in the Litchfield Hills.  Woodbury’s Main Street is home to many fine businesses, antique stores and beautiful old homes.  Spend some time – enjoy a meal at one of the many quality eateries, stop and shop at participating businesses or take a stroll along Main Street.
There are 67 businesses and organizations participating.  Many will be offering a special or activity on this day.  Check their website/Facebook page for details.  There is also entertainment and locations for family fun.

Join birder Kristi Dranginis on the second Tuesday of each month for a golden opportunity to explore the rich and varied habitats of White Memorial while learning how to identify birds on an educational walk.

7th Annual Cars for Kids
The car show is family oriented and children will enjoy farm tours, hay rides, face and pumpkin painting activities along with a scavenger hunt.  Visitors may purchase eggs, chrysanthemums, and produce, including, pumpkins, gourds and squash grown by students in CJR’s roadside Farm Market. A luncheon prepared and served by CJR students will be available in the D’Assern Dining Room.

Elizabeth Strout @ The Hotckiss School
When Elizabeth Strout won the Pulitzer Prize for Olive Kitteridge, the citation said the novel-in-stories packed “a cumulative emotional wallop, bound together by polished prose and by Olive, the title character, blunt, flawed and fascinating.” The book has sold nearly 1.5 million copies, and Frances McDormand played the titular character in an HBO adaptation that won 8 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Limited Series.

This California singer-songwriter looked herself in the eye with each song she wrote, and her sad, knowing music was recorded by Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt, Aaron Neville, Wynonna Judd ("Tell Me Why"), and a host of others, and a younger generation of female songwriters was listening closely.

Mohawk Mountains Fall Festival features a juried Craft Show with local vendors, family friendly activities such as hayrides, pumpkin painting, and face painting. They will have several Food Trucks located at the base of the mountain from the taste of Connecticut Food Truck Line. There will be live music, great food and wonderful crafts, so be sure to celebrate all things Fall during this Festival! Mohawk will also be hosting a Trail-run organized by Steep Endurance

Washington Green Cemetery Tour
Take a candlelit tour through the Washington Green Cemetery and meet some of Washington’s unforgettable residents from the past! Groups of visitors will be led by tour guides dressed in vintage attire along a path of 1,000 luminaries through the Washington Green Cemetery. Citizens from long ago will be brought to life by costumed actors who will tell their true stories; some amusing, some sad and some tragic.

 At the end of every Autocross Day each participant is given the opportunity to lap the Lower Autocross the fastest they can. All the times are recorded and at the end of the season, the year's quickest drivers are eligible to enter the AxIS competition!

The White Hart Speaker Series
Longtime New York Times foreign correspondent and best- selling author Elaine Sciolino returns to The White Hart with her new book - a vibrant, enchanting tour of the Seine.
